Alice Dorothy Borowicz, 90, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 within the compass of her family’s love.
Alice Borowicz (Gryskiewicz) was born February 28th 1926 to August and Angeline Gryskiewicz, in Marshall County. Growing up in the bustling household of six children, Alice lived the busy and humble life on the family farm. She helped with the work in numerous ways.
In 1948 Alice married the love of her life, John Peter Borowicz, and was fortunate enough to celebrate fifty loving years together. Together the pair established a loud, full family of nine children. Side by side, Alice and John worked together endlessly on their family farm. After the death of her husband, Alice settled roots in Warren, Minnesota.
As kids were in constant motion, the two had their hands full. Faith and family were her foundation. Alice dedicated her numerous talents through church involvement at the Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, Minnesota. There Alice and John sang in the Polish Choir and she also served as a member of the Assumption Ladies Sodality.
Alice had many interests which were shared with her family and the community. Baking her famous caramel rolls, popcorn balls, and raised donuts, Alice found joy in the delight of those who eagerly received her treats. Alice embodied her legacy through her beautiful embroidery in which she made gifts for each one of her grandchildren.
The life of Alice Borowicz was simply and charitably lived.
