Dale Zutz

Dale Zutz, 83, of Warren, MN, passed away early Thursday morning, August 20, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.

Dale Emil Zutz was born on October 10, 1931 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Emil and Adelheid Zutz. He was raised in Wylie, MN and graduated from the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN. Dale served in the US Navy and on April 30, 1952, he married Betty Meyer at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA. After Dale's discharge from the Navy, they returned to the area and lived in rural Radium, MN and Crookston, MN before settling in the Radium area where he farmed. Dale also worked for American Crystal in Crookston, operated a Polaris dealership and was a Marshall County Commissioner for 16 years. They moved to Warren in 1992. Betty died on March 18, 2011.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Warren American Legion Post #27.

Dale enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.

Left to mourn his passing are three children, Ronnie Zutz, Deborah (John) Copp and Loren (Deb) Zutz all of Warren, MN; seven grandchildren, Jerred Copp, Jami Verkuehlen, Jacki Postma, Kelsey Zutz, Lisa Zutz, Kayla Anvary and Ethan Zutz; ten great-grandchildren, Chloe and Kinzi Postma; Jaci, Jali and Jade Verkuehlen; Ryker and Tynley Copp; Quinn Grex and Boden and Keagan Anvary; sisters-in-law, Elli Lucian of Seattle, WA and Janet Zutz of Stephen, MN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; grandson, Jeffrey Zutz; brothers, Ellsworth (Bud) Zutz and Lloyd Zutz; sisters-in-law, Doris Zutz and Margaret Flicek and brothers-in-law, Paul Meyer, Robert Lucian and Henry Flicek.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.
VISITATION: One hour before services at the church on Tuesday.
INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN
