Edna Haakenson

Edna Haakenson, 92, of Warren, MN, passed away on Thursday evening, August 27, 2009 at River Place.

Edna Bernice Haakenson was born on June 18, 1917, the daughter of Martin and Caroline (Ostlie) Haakenson. She was the youngest of twelve children. Edna was baptized and confirmed at the Bigwoods Lutheran Church. She completed 8th grade at the local Oak Park country school. Edna lived at Fergus Falls and Barnesville, MN before moving to Argyle, MN in 1987. In 2000, she moved to Warren.

She enjoyed having her hair fixed, going for rides and treats and watching young children play.

Survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Pearl, Ella, Mattie, Alice, Clara and Ruth and five brothers, Harry, Arthur, Otis, Haaken and Noble.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oslo, MN.
VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.
INTERMENT: Bigwoods Lutheran Cemetery, rural Oslo, MN.
MEMORIALS PREFERRED: River Place or Bigwoods Lutheran Cemetery
