Eleanor (Dufault) Bergeron

Eleanor Bergeron, 88, of Argyle, MN, passed away on Friday morning, June 19, 2015, in Parkwood Senior Living, Grand Forks, ND,

Marie Eleanor was born on March 11, 1927, to Louis and Blanche (Perrault) Dufault, on a farm north of Stephen, MN. She moved as a child to another farm nearer Argyle, where she attended grade school and she graduated from high school at the AC in Crookston, MN. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Bergeron on April 4, 1945, in St. Rose Catholic Church in Argyle. They moved to farm Northeast of Argyle where they raised their five children and farmed together for 42 years.

Eleanor was a proud farm wife and she had no trouble milking cows, working in the fields, or bringing meals out to the men at work. She was active in the St. Ann Altar Society, Catholic Society of Foresters, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, play cards and quilting, and she also enjoyed selling shoes and making lefse.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Wayne (Gerrie) of Argyle, Gayle (Jeanne) of Thompson, ND, Dwight (Julie) of Devils Lake, and Rosemary (Bill) Kuznia of Gooding, ID; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Kenneth, who passed away on August 25, 2012, Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda; daughter-in-law, Sharon; brothers, Kenneth, Duane and Morris; sister-in-law, Deloris Dufault; and siblings-in-law, Joan and Ben Jokerest, Armand and Rita Bergeron, and Francis and Fern Bergeron.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 10:30 AM, in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Argyle, MN.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 23, from 5-7 with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, in the church, and also one hour prior to Mass.

Interment: St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Argyle.
