Francis "Pick" Foerster

Francis “Pick” Foerster, 63, of Bremerton, WA, formerly of Warren, MN, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his home in Bremerton.

Francis David Foerster was born on July 27, 1954 in Landes De Bussac, France, the son of Francis “Fritz” and Lois (Greicar) Foerster where his father was serving in the military. He was raised in Warren where he attended school. Pick enlisted in the United States Marines on October 5, 1971. On March 2, 1974, he was united in marriage to Deborah Yanish in Warren. They lived in several places while he was in the military including Camp Pendleton, Bangor Naval Base, Okinawa, Japan, and San Diego, CA. Upon his discharge on December 31, 1996, Pick and Deb moved to Bremerton, WA where he owned and operated Foerster Drywall.

Pick loved his country and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 23 years. He was a proud member of the Warren American Legion Post #27.

He loved being in the outdoors where he felt a spiritual connection with nature. Pick enjoyed pheasant hunting in North Dakota, elk and deer hunting in Washington and fishing for steelhead, salmon, cod, halibut, and dungeness crab. He also shot trap and skeet over the years in California.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 43 years, Deborah of Bremerton, WA; two children, Jason (Shelley) Foerster of Temecula, CA and Jennifer (Jeremiah) King of Julian, CA; five grandchildren, Ethan, Bailey and McKenzie Foerster and Sidney and Hudson King; brother, Kelly (Pam) Foerster of Grand Forks, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Lois.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services.

INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery, Warren, MN
