Jerry Potucek

Jerry Potucek, 59, of Warroad, MN, formerly of Warren, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, March 6, 2017 at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN.

Jerry Lynn Potucek was born on June 4, 1957 in Warren, the son of Gary and Shirley (Olson) Potucek. He was raised in Warren where he graduated from Warren High School in 1975. After he graduated from high school, he served for 4 years in the US Army where he was stationed in Fort Carson, CO. After his discharge, he moved to Warroad where he worked for Marvin Windows and Doors for the last 32 years. Jerry worked in several departments including Shrink Wrap, Wood Casemaster, Wood Ultimate Casemaster and Loading Dock. Currently, he was working as the Lead over the CPA area in Ultimate Casemaster.

He was a handyman and avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jerry also enjoyed motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidson's, and he was an avid race fan, but most of all, he loved spending time with his nieces, Brenna and Kristen.

Left to mourn his passing are his sister and brother-in-law, Joni and Ron Ranstrom of Warren, MN; special nieces and goddaughters, Brenna (Ryan) Swanson and Kristen Ranstrom all of Warren, MN; and several aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Shirley Potucek and his grandparents, Jim and Ruth Olson and Art and Marie Potucek.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: 1:30 – 3:30 PM on Thursday at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN and one hour before services at the church on Friday.

INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN
