Joanne M. Ginter

Joanne M. Ginter, of Argyle, MN, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls, MN, at the age of 92, after spending the day with her family.

Joanne Marie Bedard was born on March 20, 1924, the daughter of Almanzor and Rose Ida (Beaudry) Bedard, in rural Stephen, MN, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. She was married to Winslow Isadore Ginter on October 9, 1943. Together, they farmed outside of Argyle, MN, for many years and raised five children. Winslow died on June 17, 1979. Shortly thereafter, Joanne moved into town where she enjoyed sewing, reading, playing cards, and spending time with her friends and family. Joanne loved to be outside gardening and going for walks. She will be remembered for making each person's favorite meal or baked treat each time they came to visit.

Joanne is survived by three sons, Ronald, Gary, Dean (Huoy) Ginter; one daughter, Sandra (Stephen) Hagen; twelve loving grandchildren, Michael, Kerry, Jillian, Robert, Bret, Gary Jr., Gabrielle, JoAnna, Sarah, Andrea, Deanna, and Jacob; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Winslow; son, Donald; granddaughter, Constance; six brothers, Philip, Leo, Paul, Roland, Robert, and Albert; and six sisters, Sr. Helen, Eleanor, Sr. Emily, Florence, Lorraine, and Rose.

Her family would like to extend a special Thank You to those at the Thief River Care Center and Sanford staff who provided the extra-warm care given to Joanne.

Visitation: Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 5-7 PM, in DuBore Funeral Home, Warren, MN; and one hour prior to Mass.

Mass of Christian Burial: Sunday, May 15, at 1:00 PM, in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Argyle, MN.

Interment: St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Argyle.
