June Edgar

June Edgar, 90, of Warren, MN, passed away on Thursday morning, November 30, 2017 at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.

June Viola Hamrick was born on June 30, 1927 in Warren, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Olson) Hamrick. She was a life long resident of Warren where she graduated from Warren High School. June attended and graduated from Teachers College in Crookston, MN. On March 2, 1950, she married Ray Edgar in Fosston, MN. They made their home in Warren where they farmed. They also at various times owned and operated Katy's Kitchen and March Liquid Fertilizer. June taught for several years and was also a teacher and director of the DAC (Day Activity Center) in Warren for many years. After they retired, June and Ray were in home caregivers for Jim, Jack, Darren and Wayne. Ray died on April 1, 2009.

She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

June enjoyed reading, camping, traveling and many church organizations.

Left to mourn her passing are five children, Susan (David) Lindquist of Chugiak, AK, Rebecca (Scott) Loeslie of Barnesville, MN, Kristy (Craig) Hanson of Grand Forks, ND, Scott (Brenda) Edgar of Warren, MN and Ellen Johnson of Lake City, MN; sixteen grandchildren, Rachel (Mike) Roux, Elizabeth Merrill, Sam Lindquist, Tammy (Jeremy) Weaver, Katie (Jerod) Steer, Matthew (Marcia) Loeslie, Kasey (Bryan) Nikkel, Carmen (Mark) Dargis, Kelly (Kyle) Heinze, Krystina (Nathan) Potucek, Jacob (Amerae) Edgar, Steele Bertils, David Patience, Erin Patience, Miles Johnson and Lillian Johnson; thirty-one great-grandchildren; brother, Lowell (Shirley) Hamrick of Warren, MN; sister-in-law, Rita Edgar of Warren, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; siblings, Warren Hamrick and Darrell Hamrick; and great-grandson, Ethan Kuznia.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN
