Kerry Bubb

Kerry Bubb, 53, of Argyle, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 12, 2017, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND, after complications from influenza and pneumonia.

Kerry Joel Bubb was born on January 15, 1964, in Grand Forks, to Thomas and Patricia (Strong) Bubb. He had a complicated birth and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at an early age. He spent his early years on the family farm in Alvarado, MN, where his mother took great care of him. When he was ten years old, Kerry became a little too big to care for at home and he moved to the state hospital in Brainerd, MN, where he lived for eight years. After moving again and living for over two decades in Fergus Falls and Bemidji, Kerry was moved to Argyle, in 2010, to live in the group home.

Kerry loved and was loved by his brothers and truly enjoyed their visits; especially when they took him for car rides. He liked to play with matchbox cars, and particularly enjoyed crashing them! Kerry spent a lot of time watching TV and listening to music and he always appreciated whatever happened to be on. He and his family appreciated all the great care he received over the years, especially at the group home, where he felt the most comfortable. Even if he gave his caretakers a hard time, he still liked to tease and be teased by them.

He is survived by his brothers, Shawn (Sharon) Bubb and Brian Bubb of Alvarado, MN; and a niece and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Patricia Bubb; brother, Mark Bubb; and grandparents, Matthew and Mollie Bubb, and Edwin and Hilda Strong.

Service: Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 10:00 AM, at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Warren, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior to service.
Interment: Oaklawn Cemetery, Alvarado, MN.
