You were always such a nice person and I was always happy to see you. I remember you as the "pie lady" and you would come over and visit us on Great Eastern. It's too bad that we can't halt time for a while and have more time.

Scott and Leigh: We are so sorry to hear about your mom! Both of your parents were very special to us - we had wonderfully, fun times at bowling, social activities and of course the Mayoral Campaign. Marlene will always be remember for her loving, caring Christian life. We also will remember her as "the pie lady". I was in her kitchen while this process was going on and it was a wonder in organization!! She made the majority of the pies that were donated for the 4H stand and the Zion church stand when it was operating. They were GREAT!!!

Such a great lady, she and Gordy were our first contacts when coming to Warren. They both opened up there arms to us and were so gracious. Marlene and Gordy became one of our best and most memorable lifetime memories and friends. May you rest in piece Marlene and enjoy your reuniting with Gordon.... Jon and Pat Linnell

Our sympathy to the family in your loss of Marlene. She will always be remembered to me (Martha) as organist at Immanuel Lutheran Church where I grew up. I can still see her in her blue robe with white colar.

I have fond memories of Marlene working at SS for about 20 years together and retiring on the same day. Bowling with Marlene and Gordy was always enjoyable. Both of them giving sincere friendship. My sympathy to the family.
