Merece Anne Lubarski

Merece Lubarski, 64, of Argyle, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Merece Anne Adolphson was born on January 15, 1952, to Dale and Natalie (Kostrzewski) Adolphson, in Crookston, MN. She grew up on the family farm outside of Argyle, and received all her sacraments at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she was a lifelong member. Merece graduated from Argyle High School in 1970 and pursued a degree in Practical Nursing from Agassiz Valley School, Crookston, MN.

On July 14, 1973, Merece was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Conrad, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Argyle. The young couple made Argyle their home and she worked at the Warren and Crookston hospitals prior to staying at home after the birth of her first son. She later became a Preschool Paraprofessional at Stephen-Argyle Central for several years. Merece’s deep love of children had many in town considering her their “second mother” and the Lubarski home was always a place where everyone was welcomed with open arms and a bright smile.

Merece lived a life caring for others and spent many years caregiving for her parents as well as her nieces and nephews. She found the greatest joy in watching her children and grandchildren grow and supporting them at each phase of their lives. Merece also enjoyed planting flowers, polka dancing, decorating for the holidays, and soaking up the sun. She will be remembered for her selfless love and the grace with which she carried the cross of her disease these past few years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Conrad; sons, Nathan (Amy), Jaden, Rylan, and Gianna of Crookston, MN; Nolan (Kelly), Easton, and Embrey of Peoria, AZ; and Nevin (Kallie), Kaleah, and Kadence of Argyle, MN; siblings, Dwaine (Judy) Adolphson, Loren (Diane) Adolphson, Merle (Jill) Adolphson all of Argyle, and Karla (Chris) Wahlin of Crookston; and many nieces and nephews.

Merece was preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Nadia.

Visitation: Sunday, November 20, 2016, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Argyle, MN, starting at 5:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:30 and a Prayer Service following.
Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, November 21, 2016, at 10:30 AM, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Argyle, MN.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Argyle, MN.
