Ann Fayette, 88, of Warren, MN, died on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
Ann Jacobson was born on June 18, 1931, in Thompson, ND, to John and Myrtle (Johnson) Jacobson. She completed schooling there and was engaged at 18 to a soldier returning from WWII. On September 18, 1949, Ann was united in holy matrimony to Mike Fayette, in Grand Forks, ND. The two made their home in both Lawton, ND, and Grand Forks, before settling on a farm east of Warren. They would make that farm home for the rest of their married lives together. Mike died on October 21, 2007. Ann stayed on the farm for a number of years before moving into town.
Ann enjoyed all of her grandchildren visiting her and she loved going to Maple Lake to camp with her granddaughter, Carey, and her husband, Chad, who made her favorite meal- salmon. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and thrift stores, watching UND hockey, gardening, and staying up-to-date on her favorite Soap (“General Hospital”). Ann's two favorite pastimes were puzzle-making and playing bingo in the Sunday Herald. Her greatest love in life, though, was being with her lifelong friends and visiting family. She knew the importance of her faith: Blessed be her memory.
Ann is survived by her four children, Beverly (Gordon) Jorgenson of Argyle, MN, Patty Fayette of Warren, MN, Terry Fayette of Thief River Falls, MN and Gene (Renae) Fayette of Grafton, ND; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mike; Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra; an infant son; and her five brothers,Gordon, Lloyd, Lyle, Rudy, and Elmer.
