Barbara Ann (Jorgenson) Kostrzewski

Barbara Kostrzewski, 66, of Warren, MN, passed into eternal rest on Friday, July 26, 2019, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, after a battle with liver cancer.

Barbara Ann was born on September 18, 1952, in Warren, to Alton and Burnett (Sannes) Jorgenson. She was raised in Warren, where she completed High School, before attending Technical School in Thief River Falls. Following her graduation with an associates degree in Accounting, Barb was hired to work in the Marshall County Courthouse. Her career of 30+ years was spent working in the Auditor/Treasurer's Office, as well as in the License Bureau

As a young woman, Barb began dating a friend of her brothers', Lambert Kostrzewski. After a proposal at the Prairie Schooner in Angus, the two were united in Holy Matrimony on August 8, 1981. The couple made their home in Warren, and raised two children, Katie and Kyle. Barb enjoyed being at home with Lambert and her family and took every opportunity to assist with the grandchildren as they arrived. When she retired in 2007, she began watching her grandchildren almost full-time, taking every moment as a blessing; even when all three were in diapers!

She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, and grandchildren who survive her: Lambert; Katie Bolton and Kyle Kostrzewski, both of Warren; grandchildren, Breawna, Caylee and Destiny; and brothers, Gary (Thu) and Larry (Suzie) Jorgenson.

She was preceded in death by her stillborn eldest daughter, KrinAnn; and her parents.

Per Barb's wishes, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held later this week in Greenwood Cemetery.
