Duane Bienek

Duane Bienek, 70, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday morning, June 19, 2017 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.

Duane Dacian Bienek was born on August 14, 1946 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Felix and Dolores (Kiedrowski) Bienek. He was raised in rural Warren and attended the Crookston AC in Crookston, MN. On January 19, 1974, Duane married Pennylee Midbo. They made their home in Warren where he farmed, drove truck and did construction work. Pennylee died on December 18, 2005. Duane moved to Grand Forks in the last several years.

Left to mourn his passing are his two children, Lee Bienek of Warren, MN and Sarah (Marshal) Monk of Baudette, MN; two grandchildren, Emma and Autumn Monk; four siblings, Dacian Bienek of Warren, MN, Mary Jo Soberaski of Stephen, MN, Joe Bienek of Warren, MN and Robert Bienek of Grand Forks, ND and two godchildren, Paul Shereck and Jay Soberaski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Dolores; wife, Pennylee and sister, Jeanne Marie Bienek.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 AM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN.

Visitation: One hour before services at the church.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Warren, MN
