Joan Pawlowski, 85, of Warren, MN, passed away on Sunday evening, December 31, 2017 at Lilac Homes Assisted Living in Moorhead, MN with her family by her side.
Joan Ann Kostrzewski was born on August 9, 1932 in Florian, MN, the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Budziszewski) Kostrzewski. She was raised in the Florian area where she attended country school. On June 28, 1955, she was united in marriage to John Pawlowski. They made their home in rural Warren where they farmed. Joan was a devoted farm wife and a loving mother. John died on May 10, 2004.
She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary.
Joan enjoyed playing cards, gardening, doing puzzles, baking, and cleaning.
Left to mourn her passing are eight children, Earl (Berna) Pawlowski of Warren, MN, Anne (Scott) Anderson of Glenwood, MN, Gale (Laurie) Pawlowski of Mahnomen, MN, Lori (Mike) Jones of Fargo, ND, Peggy (Randy) Campbell of Lakeville, MN, Dean (Sarah) Pawlowski of Fergus Falls, MN, Ted Pawlowski of Warren, MN, and Karl (Jeni) Pawlowski of Shakopee, MN; seventeen grandchildren, Kayla Pawlowski, Tami (Matt) McFarland, Paige Anderson, Ian Anderson, Tyler (Ashley) Pawlowski, Brianne (Nolan) Belle, Matt Jones, Tony (Jenna) Jones, Kylie (John) Langenwalter, Davis Jones, Krista Campbell, Brooke (fiance, Dusty Benson) Campbell, Preston Campbell, Will Pawlowski, Sophia Pawlowski, Jake Pawlowski and Taylor Pawlowski; four great-grandchildren, Jaelynn Jackson, Cormac and Elex Jones and Jayce Pawlowski; sister, Audrey Frazier of Reedsport, OR; sister-in-law, Bev Pawloski; Goldie Lamberson, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; siblings and sisters and brothers-in-law, John (Maggie) Kostrzewski, Evald (Delores) Kostrzewski, Natalie (Dale) Adolphson, Arnold (Adele) Kostrzewski, Ralph (Evelyn) Pawlowski, Florence (Howard) Lamberson, Adolph (Steffie) Pawlowski and Ray Pawloski.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN.
VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 5:45 PM Rosary and 6:00 PM Prayer Service on Wednesday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Warren and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
INTERMENT: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Warren, MN
