Kenneth W. Malm, 82, of Warren, MN, passed away on Saturday morning, August 3, 2019 at his home at North Star Assisted Living in Warren.
Kenneth was born on December 10, 1936 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Walter and Lillie (Dahlquist) Malm. He was raised in rural Argyle and attended country school from grades 1-8 and he graduated from Alvarado High School. Kenneth attended one year of college at University of North Dakota. He was in the US Armed Forces from 1955 – 1958 and he was a member of the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. Kenneth was stationed in Korea for 13 months. On May 19, 1957, he married Delores Olson. They lived in Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, Argyle and Alvarado before moving to Warren in 2005. Kenneth worked at Wilcox & Malm, farmed in rural Argyle and also drove an over the road truck for several years.
He was a charter member of Christ The King Free Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, MN where he served on the board and was also a 21 year board member of the Marshall County Coop.
Kenny enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling and watching all sports on TV.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 62 years Delores; three children, James (Janet) Malm of Davenport, IA, Wayne (Amie) Malm of Argyle, MN and Amy Jo (Shannon) Hunstad of Strandquist, MN; ten grandchildren, Jonathan, Kenneth, Matthew, Tyler, Amanda (Cameron Love), Courtney, Ally (Michael Monda), Shayla, Ryder and Brooke; two great-grandchildren, Mila and Maverick Monda; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lillie and two brothers, Willis and Lowell.
Kenneth's family is grateful to the staff at North Star Assisted Living and Altru Hospice for the care that they gave Kenneth.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren, MN.
VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Tuesday at North Star Assisted Living Chapel in Warren and one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
INTERMENT: North Bigwoods Cemetery, rural Argyle, MN
