Maxine Hanson, 89, of Warren, MN, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 13, 2019 at North Valley Health Center in Warren.
Maxine Gehrls was born on August 26, 1930 in Warren, the daughter of Fred H. Gehrls Jr. and Louise (Hartwig) Gehrls. She was raised in Warren where she attended school. On June 14, 1953, she was united in marriage to LaVern Hanson. They made their home in Warren where she worked at Ben Franklin for a number of years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting (especially things for the grandchildren); camping, baking, and going on walks. LaVern died on January 4, 2015 and Maxine continued to live independently at the Landmark Center.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Kenneth (Robin) Hanson, Larry Hanson, and Sandra (Tom) Gryskiewicz all of Warren, MN, Robert Hanson of Oslo, MN and Jeff (Lynelle) Hanson of Warren, MN; grandchildren, Amy Elifritz, Kendall Fillipi, Denise (Brandon) Burket, and Jacob, Kyle, and Kaitlyn Hanson; great-grandsons, Nate, Kendrick, Dylan, Draven, Hoyt, Elliot, and Logan; sisters, Marcielle Anderson, and Gloria Mortenson; and sister-in-law, Arlene Gehrls.
In addition to her husband, LaVern; Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Vernon Gehrls.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM on Monday, November 18, 2019, in First Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.
VISITATION: Sunday afternoon, November 17, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, in DuBore Funeral Home, Warren, MN.
INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN.
