Patricia Marie Peterson

Patricia “Pat” Peterson, of Warren, formerly of Cambridge, MN, passed away on Saturday night, July 28, 2018, at North Star Manor, Warren, after a short battle with cancer.

Patricia Marie was born on March 17, 1940, in Cambridge, to Alden and Edith (Lillian) Johnson. She graduated from Cambridge High School and, shortly thereafter, was married to Dennis Peterson in 1958.

In the following years, Pat raised three children, nearly completed her small aircraft pilot's license, and traveled around the Midwest, taking jobs in South Dakota, Illinois, and other states. She grew to love rural areas but always ended up back in Isanti County. Through a mutual friend, Pat met Gary Potucek and, after moving to Warren to be near him in the late 1980's, Pat finally decided to plant her roots. She appreciated every moment on Gary's farm and enjoyed being close to nature. She worked at the Warren Hospital for a number of years and loved the small town values she'd found.

Pat is survived by her children, Daniel (Rechelle) Peterson of St. Francis, MN, Denise (Brian) Poziembo of Kaneohe, HI, and Tony Peterson of Anoka, MN; three grandchildren, Heidi Wagner, and Ashlei and Cole Poziembo; one great-grandson, Dominic Wagner Hebler; siblings, Wayne, Jim, Jackie, and Vicki Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Holmstrom; granddaughter, Corey Peterson; and friend, Gary Potucek.
