Aw, Cheryle, I just can't believe this. You have been in my thoughts so much. Just saw Shelly's name totally by chance. I feel so bad that we haven't kept in touch. I first met Shelly when she was about 10 years old. Cheryle and my wife Sherry were, and still are, best friends, and that is how I met Wally. Wally and I remained friends until he passed away. Whenever I made it back to GF to visit Wally, Shelly would make a special trip to town to visit. She was the life of the party and always had a joke or two to share. Shelly and my wife have January birthdays and many years Shelly would call and if I answered, it would be an hour before Sherry got to talk. She always took the time to fill me in on what was going on. She was always so vibrant and full of life. She was always the first person to help others in their time of need. I'm glad that Shelly and I stayed friends through the years. She was a special girl and will be greatly missed.

Shelly was full of life and humor and was also very sensitive. She and I shared many worries and tears when Joe joined the Air Force and was gone overseas. Ironically Joe and I just visited her last week and even in her final days she asked Joe how his family was and never missed a beat when asked if she would Was thirsty, responded with her wit and sense of humor... saying she’d like a Bacardi Coke.
