Zefiryna Kuznia

Zefiryna Kuznia, 93, of Warren, MN, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 9, 2019 at North Star Manor in Warren.

Zefiryna Adamski was born on March 15, 1926 in rural Florian, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Helen Adamski. There were thirteen children in the family who survived birth; seven boys and six girls. The family lived and worked on the family farm raising potatoes, wheat, and oats in rural Stephen, MN. The farm provided all their food; their only expense was clothing and other essentials. She married George Kuznia on October 21, 1947. They lived and farmed by Argyle, MN. They raised wheat, oats and had dairy cows and hogs. She worked at the Arctic Cat plant in Karlstad, MN for many years. Zefiryna and George had many foster children over the years. George died on May 20, 1986. Zefiryna moved to Warren in 1986.

She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Florian and the Assumption Ladies until she moved and joined Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren. Zefiryna loved to knit and crochet and she made many blankets and potholders.

Left to mourn her passing are two children, William (Rosemary) Kuznia of Gooding, ID and Helen Goroski of Superior, WI; six grandchildren, Shane Kuznia (Diana Walker), Dana (Angie) Kuznia, Chad (Tara) Kuznia, Stacy (John) Valentine, Derek (Jennifer) Goroski and Dakota Jackson; great-grandchildren, Ashley Kuznia, Clay Kuznia, Taylor Kuznia, Chance Kuznia, Cody Mulshine, Nathan Valentine, Savannah Valentine, Mariah Goroski, Zaydrian Outzen, Cameron Goroski, Cody Heinrich and Jayden Rymer and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen; husband, George and siblings, Frances Novak, Bernice Sullivan, Katherine Nelson, Peter, Harry, Steve, Stanley, Bernard, Joseph Jr., Bruno, Theresa and Mary.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Florian, MN
