Angeline Adamski Obituary

Angeline Adamski, 89, of Florian, MN, died in Kittson Memorial Nursing Home, Hallock, MN on Tuesday evening, May 17, 2022, with her family at her side.

Angeline Frances was born on April 18, 1933, in Wanger Township, Marshall County, MN, to Andrew and Frances (Kulla) Ignaszewski. Growing up on the family farm, she attended country school until the the 8th grade. Angie was united in marriage to Steve Adamski on June 15, 1954, in Florian. After renting a farm for a brief time and living near Stephen, the family returned to Florian, where Angie and Steve raised five daughters.

In addition to all the duties that come with being a mother and housewife, Angie worked over the years for Earl Hvidsten Farms during potato harvest, at A&T Greenhouse, in the scale room of American Crystal Sugar, and at the Arctic Cat sewing plant in Karlstad. She was an excellent baker and decorator of wedding cakes, and she made them for every family member that asked- only charging for the cost of the eggs, flour, and sugar. Her sons-in-law eagerly awaited their yearly Christmastime garbage bags full of frozen homemade breads. In addition to baking, Angie enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and playing cards. She deeply loved her Catholic faith, and was the “flower girl” for every wedding in her church for years (ie. she was in charge of beautifying the church with flowers for all occasions).

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Sandra Bratlie, Sharon (Wayne) Elden, Ann (Paul) Huser, and Andrea Adamski; son-in-law, Gary Kujava; sister, Loretta (Al) Goblirsch; ten grandchildren, Heidi (Gyles) Larson, Jami (Jason) Melland, Kimberly (Matthew) Sjoberg, Kristi ( Ray) Quibell, Melissa (Lon) Woinarowicz, Bethany ( Richard) Gehrtz, Haley ( Johnny) Ahlness, and Ben, Jake, and Jessica Huser; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Chesney and Hadley Larson, Berklee and Sawyer Melland, Bentley, Jaxxon, and Canton Sjoberg, Cayden and Alyvia Quibell, Madison and Rylan Woinarowicz, Lennon Gehrtz, and Baby Ahlness.

In addition to her husband, Steve, who died on July 14, 2013, Angie was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Kujava; great-granddaughter, Jordyn Woinarowicz; and her brothers, Edward, John, Tony (Lila), and Norbert (Karen) Ignaszewski; and sister, Helen (Edmund) Pietruszewski.
