Arlene Gehrls

Arlene Gehrls, 88, of Warren, MN, passed away on Saturday morning, January 18, 2020 at Karlstad Senior Living in Karlstad, MN.

Arlene Marion Magnusson was born on October 7, 1931 in Argyle, MN, the daughter of Frank Paul and Agnes (Rhodegaard) Magnusson. She was raised in Argyle where she attended Carlson Country School and graduated form Argyle High School in 1949. Arlene married Vernon Gehrls on October 2, 1954. They made their home in Warren where they raised three sons. Vernon died on March 23, 1985.

She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and its' Ladies Aide, a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center, and a member of Homemakers and 4-H.

Arlene enjoyed scrap booking and photography. She also enjoyed music, playing the piano and singing.

Left to mourn her passing are her three sons, David (Donna) Gehrls of Warren, MN, Mark (Becky) Gehrls of East Grand Forks, MN and Randy Gehrls of Warren, MN; seven grandchildren, Bradley (Grace) Gehrls, Kristina (Justin) Kjos, Jacob (Kassy) Gehrls, Ashley (Jake)Thompson, Josiah Gehrls, Anina Gehrls and Matthew Gehrls; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Tucker Kjos and Liam Gehrls; sisters, Verna Hanson of Salt Lake City, UT and Avis (Harold) Wagner of Fairmont, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon, brother, Marville Magnusson; sisters, Clarice Visness, Jean Potucek-Hillman and Donna May Magnusson.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN
