Arlene Robertson

Arlene Robertson, 89, of Argyle, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Edgewood Healthcare in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Arlene was born on February 7, 1935 in Grafton, North Dakota, to Roman and Minnie (Kasprick) Gornowicz. She attended Cook County School and graduated from Argyle High School. On January 14, 1956, she was united in marriage to James Robertson. They made their home in Argyle where they operated Home Oil Company for 35 years.

Arlene lived a life of kindness and service to others. She was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she served as a lector and communion distributor. She also worked several years at the Warren hospital as a nursing aide. In addition to serving members of her community, Arlene was the consummate host of countless family gatherings.

Arlene loved the outdoors. Taking long walks and fishing were among her favorite past times. She also enjoyed listening to music and having friendly conversations with Argyle residents. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband, Jim, at Lake of the Woods.

Arlene is survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents, Roman and Minnie; her brothers, Carl and Ervin; and her sisters, Rosemary, Ramona and Helen.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15, 2024 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before Mass services at the church on Friday.

INTERMENT: St. Rose Cemetery, Argyle, MN
