Arthur Vansickle
November 20, 1928 - April 2, 2021

Folsom, California - Arthur Vansickle, age 92, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021. Born in Strandquist MN, 11/20/1928 to Arthur and Della Vansickle, he attended one-room schoolhouses, Warren High School and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1950. He proudly served in the Army, moved to Minneapolis, and met his loving wife, Nancy Gustafson from Wadena, MN.

Art's love of church and music grew from his mother's devotion (she the church organist for over 40 years), and he always actively served the church wherever he lived.  Moving to California after retirement, he was a golfer, and made many lifelong friends on links. He was able to golf at St. Andrews and Pebble Beach! He had TWO holes-in one!
Art and Nancy enjoyed travel, visiting Russia, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Argentina, Tanzania, etc. Many friends they met returned to visit us, as well. Our home was never without guests or friends.

Art had a dry sense of humor, was easy going, kind. and generous. He enjoyed music, and played ukulele, guitar, banjo, and piano. He loved spending time with his children, and we adored it even more. At 6'1" he was larger than life to us. He still is.

Art is survived by sons Craig and Bruce, and daughters Nina, Paige, Patti (Ted Guzman), and grandchildren Renata Guzman Washa (Alex Washa), Matthew Guzman, and sister Kathi (Pat Carr). He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Nancy, and his sister Beverly Gladhill.
