Belinda Folz

Belinda Folz, 70, of Angus, MN, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND with her husband, Jim, by her side. She was surrounded by her daughters throughout the day.

Belinda Elaine (Rudie) Folz was born on November 20, 1954 in Fosston, Minnesota to Esther and Elden Rudie. She grew up on a farm outside of McIntosh. She graduated from McIntosh High School in 1973. She attended Agassiz School of Nursing and graduated in 1978 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at the Warren Hospital for 28 years, followed by the Good Samaritan Center, and the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston. She was known for her bedside manner, quick wit and dedication to caring for others. Friends were her family and she loved to have a good time.

In March 1973, she met James Albert Folz on the side of the road. Shortly thereafter, they were wed on June 8, 1974 in McIntosh, Minnesota. They moved to Warren and Jim worked for Kasprick Farms.  They welcomed their first daughter Vanessa Michele in April 1976 and their second daughter Cameo Rae in April 1981. They built their ‘big yellow house’ south of Warren in 1981, where they resided the entirety of their marriage.

She was active at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, serving coffee and cookies every December, and a member of Warren Snow-Cat Riders. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed time with friends, concerts, camping and quiet time at Florian, and snowmobiling in the winter. She was always ready for a trip to the East Coast to go and see all of her grandchildren. But her day-to-day joy came with her love for animals, especially Pomeranians. She didn’t go very far without having a ‘little dog’ by her side. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew, and special friends, Glenn and Doris Johnson. She is survived by her husband Jim; daughter, Vanessa (Phil) Royer; daughter, Cameo; grandchildren, Olivia, Valentina, Sabinna, & Elyse Royer, Ella and Frank Prillwitz; her sister Angela (Clem) Brown, and several nieces, nephews, close cousins and family members.
Her life was a gift to all knew her.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: After 5:00 with a 6:30 PM prayer service on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren and one hour before services on Saturday.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS: The family kindly requests donations be made to a memorial in her honor at North Star Manor or North Valley Health Center.
