Beth Corinne Johnson

Beth Corinne Johnson, 71, of Eagan, MN, formerly of Warren, MN, died under care of Hospice on October 10, 2025.

Beth was born on September 25, 1954, in Warren, to Elmer and Dorothy (Fryer) “Joan” Johnson. She graduated from Warren High School in 1972, heading off to study computers at American Automation Training Center in Kansas City, MO. Receiving her qualifications in a cutting-edge industry at the time, Beth began working as a Computer Operations Technician, a job she held at one business or another for the rest of her life. Red Owl, Best Buy, Musicland, Travelers Express, and United Health Group each needed her expertise over the years.

But for all this work in the digital realm, the things that Beth cherished most were “real.” A good conversation with a friend, a thoughtful moment visiting the elderly, loving on her dog, Paco, or simply being around her family: all these things were important. She was the one who cared for and about everyone else, was so generous, and was “the one everyone liked.” As an example, when visiting her aging parents, she decided to host a large Christmas Eve dinner, inviting over all other residents who had nowhere else to go: this became an annual tradition.

In her own words, her greatest interests were: “Friends! Knitting, Gardening, Fixing an “older” home, Books, Classes, Volunteering, and [in perfect Beth fashion, putting first things first and last] a Happy Laugh with Friends!”

She is survived by her sister, Joy Lavik; and sister-in-law, LuAnn Johnson; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Joan; brother, Robin Johnson; brother-in-law, H. Richard Lavik; and grandparents, Levi & Ellen Johnson of Warren, and Grantley & Kate Alice Fryer of Bristol, England.
