Cherry Ann Iverson, 80, of Alvarado, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, May 6, 2020 at her home.
Cherry Ann Swanson was born on October 12, 1939 in Warren, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Alice (Kilfoyl) Swanson. She was raised in Warren where she graduated from Warren High School. On March 28, 1959, Cherry Ann was united in marriage to Robert Iverson. They made their home in Alvarado where they farmed.
She was an active member of New Hope Lutheran Church and the Alvarado American Legion Auxiliary.
Cherry Ann loved spending time at the cabin on Lake of the Woods, frying up fish for everyone to enjoy, playing cards and games of chance (casino), cooking, baking, embroidering, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband of sixty-one years, Robert; children, Mark (Cindy) Iverson of Golden Valley, ID; Kathy (Bruce) Yanish of Howard, SD and Ron Iverson (Betsy Brickzin) of Alvarado, MN; five grandchldren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Connie Moen of Alvarado, MN and Van (Dede) Swanson of Thief River Falls, MN and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Alice Swanson; grandchildren, Christopher Iverson and Ashley Yanish; sister, Bonnie (Pete) Glass; and brother-in-law, Ervin Moen.
DRIVE-UP VISITATION: Saturday, May 9, 2020, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, at New Hope Lutheran Church, Alvarado, MN.
INTERMENT: Oak Lawn Cemetery, Alvarado, MN.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Date and time to be determined.
