Daniel “Dan” Gajeski, 84, of Stephen, MN, passed away on Friday morning, June 4, 2021 at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.
Daniel Anthony Gajeski was born on July 13, 1936 in rural Stephen, MN, the son of Walter and Rose (Perkerwicz) Gajeski. He was raised in rural Stephen and graduated from Greenbush High School in Greenbush, MN. After he graduated, he returned to Stephen to farm. On July 25, 1959, he married Myrna Larson at Red River Catholic Church. They made their home in Minneapolis and Circle Pines, MN where Dan worked at Daytons and Sears and sold Kirby vacuums and china. In 1987, they moved to Brooklyn Park, MN where they managed a mini storage business for 23 years. Myrna died on December 8, 2007. In 2009, Dan moved back to Stephen and married Nancy Johnson.
Survivors include four sons, Jim Gajeski of Waite Park, MN, Gerald (Jeanne) Gajeski, Jeffery Gajeski and David Gajeski all of St. Paul, MN; sister, Bernice Kukowski of Greenbush, MN and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Myrna, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sonja Gajeski; one great-grandchild, brothers, Roman, Florian, Searfine and infant brother, Hilary and sisters, Pearl Schmiehowski, Joann “June” Kuznia and Betty Kukowski.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stephen, MN.
VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.
INTERMENT: St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery, Osseo, MN
