Delores Malm

Delores Malm, 85, of Warren, MN, passed away on Sunday morning, June 21, 2020 at North Star Manor in Warren.

Delores Amy Olson was born on September 3, 1934 in Shevlin, MN, the daughter of Orvis and Amy (Tollefson) Olson. She was raised in East Grand Forks, MN where she graduated from high school in 1952. Delores got her Registered Nurses training at Deaconess Hospital and graduated in 1955. On May 19, 1957, she married Kenneth Malm. They lived in Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, Argyle and Alvarado before moving to Warren in 2005. She worked as a nurse at Deaconess Hospital for many years. Kenneth died on August 3, 2019.

She enjoyed quilting, painting and spending time with family and friends.

Left to mourn her passing are her three children, James (Janet) Malm of Davenport, IA, Wayne (Amie) Malm of Argyle, MN and Amy Jo (Shannon) Hunstad of Strandquist, MN; ten grandchildren, Jonathan, Kenneth, Matthew, Tyler, Amanda (Cameron Love), Courtney, Ally (Michael Monda), Shayla, Ryder and Brooke; two great-grandchildren, Mila and Maverick Monda; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orvis and Amy Olson; stepfather, Norman Rud; husband, Kenneth and brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Karen Olson.

Delores's family is grateful to the staff at North Star Assisted Living and Manor and Altru Hospice for the care that they gave Delores.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Christ the King Free Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, MN.

VISITATION: 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday at DuBore Funeral Home in Warren, MN.

INTERMENT: North Bigwoods Cemetery, rural Argyle, MN.

The family asks that everyone follow the CDC guidelines about social distancing and mask wearing when attending the funeral or visitation. Please stay home if you are not feeling well.
