Dolly Erickson

Dolly Erickson, 92, Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Alvarado, MN, passed away Saturday morning, October 22, 2022 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND.

Aloise Jeanette Bergan was born on December 18, 1929 in Alvarado, MN, the daughter of Elling and Mary (Nordstrom) Bergan. She was raised in Alvarado where she graduated from Alvarado High School. On February 9, 1948, she was united in marriage to H. Jerome Erickson in Oslo, MN. They made their home in Alvarado where together they worked in construction, farmed and operated a gravel and cement business. Jerome died on April 14, 1994. Dolly continued to live in Alvarado after Jerome's death. She lived in Warren, MN for a short period of time before moving to Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks in 2017.

Dolly was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church and Alvarado American Legion Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crafting, painting, doing puzzles and word search and playing games. Dolly loved teasing and being teased for a good laugh and added fun to many a conversation.

Left to mourn her passing are her three children, Deanna Nordling of Fargo, ND, David (Cindy) Erickson of Jurupa Valley, CA and Pam (Jeff) Gratz of Green Acres, WA; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, H. Jerome; son-in-law, John Nordling and siblings, Bernice Cook, Milford Bergan and Sylvia Scott.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM on Friday, October 28, 2022 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Alvarado, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Next to her husband, H. Jerome, at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Alvarado, MN.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, MEMORIALS PREFERRED TO: Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND
