Edward LaBine, 72, formerly of Argyle, MN, died on Moday, August 9, 2021, in Woodside Village of Valley Senior Living on 42nd, in Grand Forks, ND.
Ed was born on October 21, 1948, in Warren, MN to Joseph and Della Mae (Ethier) LaBine. He grew up on the family farm and attended St. Rose Elementary School in Argyle. Following his graduation from public high school, Ed remained in town, working the land he loved.
Undoubtedly, Ed's pride and joy was tending his expansive vegetable garden. He developed a healthy lifestyle, eating his own vegetables- no red meat, with daily 10 mile walks around the countryside. He loved dogs, and found great joy giving "Kirby" special treatment during the last two years of Kirby's life. Ed was genuinely interested in the latest updates on all family members, especially regarding his nephews and nieces! He also appreciated all genres of music from classical to anything from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Ed kept well-informed on the local farm community and enjoyed talking to farmers on his long walks. Ed was at peace while receiving dedicated attention and kindness during his stay at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks.
Ed is survived by seven of his eight his siblings, Joyce (Ivan) Lindstrom, JoAnn Carlson, Eileen Sczepanski, Sharon LaBine, Robert LaBine, Glenn (Marilyn) LaBine, and Donna Field; sister-in-law, Jennie LaBine; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Della Mae; brother, Richard; and brothers-in-law, Jay Carlson, Tom Sczepanski, and Bill Field.
Memorials are Preferred and may be made to your Local Animal Shelter in Ed's memory.
