Elden Elseth, 75, entered his heavenly home on March 26, 2025, to be with his savior, Jesus Christ: Elden's body is now healed from cancer, and his weakened heart is now strong. His last days were spent in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.
Elden John came into this world on April 16, 1949, the fourth child of Willard and Ruth (Stanghelle) Elseth of Warren, MN. He was a bright and loving child. After he graduated with the Warren High School class of 1967, Elden attended Covenant Bible School in Saskatchewan, Canada, then Bethel College in Arden Hills, MN. He was a graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN, and was a licensed attorney. After a time in the Twin cities, Elden moved home to work on the farm farm with his father, and brother Bob.
Elden was married to Roxann “Tink” Schanus in July of 1986. In 2007, Michael John Adam came into their lives, bringing them great joy. They attended the Warren Covenant Church together, which was Elden's home church from boyhood.
Many things delighted Elden. He was a fun-loving and talented personality. His busy life included being an artist. He loved to write about and discuss major issues like politics and religion. He was very happy when he had a fishing pole in his hand, enjoying many camping and fishing trips to the Boundary Waters.
Left to grieve his passing is his loving and faithful wife, Tink; son, Michael; brothers, Bob (Becky) of Warren and Howard (Barbara) of Cave Creek, AR; sister, Dee (Bob) Ricker of Surprise, AZ; and brother-in-law, Gren Weis of Toronto, ON; and their families, including six nieces and six nephews.
Waiting for him at his homecoming are his parents; sister-in-law, Mavis Elseth and her baby, Irene; sister, Barbara Elseth Weis; and mother-in-law, Nancy Schanus.
His family knows Elden has been promoted to be with his savior, and see Him face-to-face. Elden would want use to consider what jesus said in John 14:16-
I am the way, the truth , and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:30 PM on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Warren Covenant Church in Warren, MN.
Family interment service for Elden was previously held in Alma Lutheran Cemetery in rural Argyle, MN.
