Eulalie Peterson, 101, of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday evening, September 15, 2025 at North Star Manor in Warren, MN.
Eulalie Adele Russum was born on June 16, 1924 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Thompson) Russum. She graduated from Grafton High School and Union Commercial College in Grand Forks, ND. Eulalie was a stenographer for the University of North Dakota for eight years. While attending the Red River Valley Young People's Association, she was introduced to a young man by the name of Dale Peterson through mutual friends. This began a relationship that by God's grace would flourish for a lifetime. Even though she didn't expect to marry a farmer, providentially, on June 16, 1949, Eulalie and Dale were married at the Assembly of God Church in Grafton. They made their home on the farm in Brislet Township where she loved being a homemaker. After 74 years together, Dale died on September 2, 2023.
She was an active member of the Warren Covenant Church.
Eulalie's hobbies were homemaking, hospitality and practicing the humor of a Godly nature. Through these character traits, she expressed her commitment and obedience to her Lord Jesus Christ. She was known for her hospitality and she enjoyed entertaining people in her home for meals and fellowship. Eulalie was an excellent baker, especially pies and cookies.
Left to mourn her passing are her sons, Dwight (Kathleen) Peterson, Dean (Eleanor) Peterson and Kevin Peterson; five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Marion Sahlin and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; brothers, Norman Russum and Reuben Russum and sister, Clarice Widell.
