Faye Satkunam, 75, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Warren, MN, passed into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo with her son at her side.
Faye Louise Satkunam was born on February 2, 1946 in Warren, the daughter of Evert and Dorothy (Schmidt) Erickson. She was raised in Warren where she graduated from Warren High School. Faye attended the University of North Dakota and became a Registered Nurse. Faye lived in Los Angeles, CA, Cleveland, OH, Michigan and Lander, WY before returning to Warren where she worked at the Good Samaritan Center for twenty-five years. In 2001, Faye moved to Fargo.
Her faith was extremely important to her. She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren. In recent years, she has been attending Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo.
Faye had many interests including reading, walking, Minnesota Vikings and NDSU FOOTBALL! Her family was most important to her. She loved to socialize with friends over coffee but her love was hanging out with family and experiencing life. Faye went bowling with the kids, played laser tag and pool, enjoyed eating out and virtual reality. Some of the activities she had the opportunity to do over the years include watching football games (she made it to Frisco, TX for Bison Championship), Broadway musicals, hiking Diamondhead on Oahu, spending time at the lake (even rode the jet ski), riding the rides at Universal Studios, visiting Hawaii waterfalls, going to the top of Freedom Tower in NYC and watching the Yankees play in Yankee Stadium. Faye once went to Daytona Beach, FL and she burned her feet and couldn't figure out why. Much later, the family found a picture of her lying on a beach chair, completely in the shade of an umbrella...except for her FEET!
Left to mourn her passing are her son, Kenneth (Jill) Satkunam of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Noah Satkunam, Dylan Satkunam, Ashlin Satkunam and Kyra Schroeder; former daughter-in-law, Jodi Satkunam and several other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evert and Dorothy and sister, Diane Paulson.
Blessed be her memory.
