Frank R. Judovsky

Frank R. Judovsky, 90, of Warren, MN, died on Tuesday morning, May 28, 2019, in Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Frank Raymond was born on December 14, 1928, on the family farm, in Angus Township, Polk County, MN, the son of Frank George and Lillian (Dolezel) Judovsky. He attended Cornell 185 Country School and then worked on the farm, taking care of the land all his life. He retired in 1977, though still kept active in the fields until his 80s, always monitoring when the seeding and combining took place.

When he was seven years old, Frank started keeping track of the weather, noting in a book the high, low, and precipitation every day. He kept up this practice all his life, being sure to inform any visitor what the weather was like one year from the day. For the record, the day he died, the high was 74º, low 47º, and precipitation was 0% (last year it was 85º, 62º, and no rain). He used to say if he wasn't a farmer, he'd have been a meteorologist: and a pretty accurate one at that! Frank also enjoyed reading and listening to the news.

Living on the farm, Frank took care of his mother for many years and, after building his house in Warren, moved her into his own home. Frank's nieces and nephews were absolutely precious to him and he always made a point to send each one a birthday and Christmas card. He lived at home until just a few months ago and still did all his own cooking.

Frank is survived by his siblings, David (Lydia) Judovsky of Warren, Lucy Bruce of Buena Park, CA, and Arnold (Gayle) of Maple Grove, MN; sister-in-law, Anne Judovsky of Melrose, MN; and 35 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mary (Lyle) Streich, Lillian (Raymond) Nowacki, Theodore Judovsky, and Eleanore (Marvin) Knutson; and brother-in-law, Darrell Bruce.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, June 3, 2019, at 10:30 AM, in Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Warren, MN.
VISITATION: One hour prior to Mass.
INTERMENT: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Warren.
