Gary Jenkins

Gary Jenkins, 79, of Gatzke, MN, formerly of Warren, MN, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 15, 2022 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN.

Gary James Jenkins was born on July 23, 1942 in Warren, MN, the son of James and Florence (Edgar) Jenkins.  He was raised on the farm east of Warren and attended the Crookston AC.  On August 16, 1961, he married Connie Bengtson.  They made their home in rural Warren where he farmed and was also a mason working on area construction projects for many years.  Connie died on January 11, 2000.  A few years later, he moved to the shack near Randeen Ridge.

He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing with family and friends.  Gary loved
spending time with his granddaughters, Brittany and Bailey and shared his passion of pursuing the big buck.  In his earlier years, he was a jockey at area horse racing tracks.

Left to mourn his passing are his children, Price (Donna) Jenkins of Warren, MN and Kimberly Jenkins (Joe Lesmeister) of Thief River Falls, MN; granddaughters, Brittany (Nick) Graves of Grand Forks, ND and Bailey Jenkins (fiancée, Alex Marcotte) of Warren, MN; great-granddaughter, Lena Graves and soon to be another great-grandchild Graves; siblings, Larry Jenkins and Bette (Rick) Solberg; step-brother, David (Lori) Weber; brother-in-law, Ed (Renee) Rosendahl; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Alice Whitehead.

He was preceded in death by his parents; James and Florence; step-father, Clem Weber; brothers, Ronald and Randy and sisters-in-law, Marcie, Karlene, Linda and Jill Jenkins.

WALK THROUGH VISITATION: 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at DuBore Funeral Home in Warren, MN.
INTERMENT: Next to his wife, Connie, in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren, MN.
