Harriet Jorgenson Kujava

Harriet Jorgenson Kujava, 98, of Crookston, MN, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN and Warren, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 5, 2021 at Riverview Care Center in Crookston with her family by her side.

Harriet Julia Larson was born on May 7, 1923 on a farm in New Maine Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Albert and Clara (Lee) Larson. She was raised in rural Newfolden, MN where she attended country school. On October 14, 1944, Harriet married Ray Jorgenson. They made their home in Warren. She worked as a housekeeper at the Warren Hospital for many years. Ray died on November 4, 1984. Harriet married Frank Kujava on November 29, 1986. They made their home in Warren and they spent summers in Badger, MN. Frank died on March 11, 2004. After Frank died, she moved to Thief River Falls, MN for several years until moving to Crookston to be closer to family.

She enjoyed camping, ice fishing, collecting rocks and dancing. Harriet loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always up for a new adventure.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Kermit Jorgenson of Roseau, MN and Mary (Allen) Stortroen of Crookston, MN; daughter-in-law, Mary Jorgenson of Yankton, SD; stepchildren, Debbie Kujava and Dennis Kujava, both of Badger, MN; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Clara; husbands, Ray and Frank; children, Shirley, Lyle and Jerald; brother, Lester and sisters, Gladys and Laura.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN
