James "Jim" Feller

James “Jim” Feller, 77, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Argyle, MN, passed away on Thursday afternoon, November 16, 2023 at Woodside Village in Grand Forks, ND with his family by his side.

James William was born on April 12, 1946 in Howard, SD, the son of Henry Francis and Anne (Winker) Feller. He was raised in Howard and he attended Agatha Catholic School. On June 19, 1965, Jim married Sandra “Sandy” Brusnighan. They made their home in Howard and Mt. Vernon, SD before moving to Argyle in June of 1978. Jim worked at Argyle State Bank /United Valley Bank where he was President/loan officer. After his retirement, Jim and Sandy moved to Golden Lake near Hatton, ND. Sandy died on February 7, 2015.

Jim was a devoted Catholic who was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Argyle Lions and involved with 4-H.

He was an avid sports fan and he loved all sports, whether local or professional teams. He enjoyed attending the activities of his children and grandchildren. In spite of a full family, Jim and Sandy fostered many children over the years. He liked woodworking and being outdoors.

Left to mourn his passing are his children, Amie (Wayne) Malm and Cara (Mark) Hendrickson all of Argyle, MN, Kelly (Jon) St. Germain of Elk River, MN, Cory Feller of Thief River Falls, MN and Chris (Mary) Feller of Grand Forks, ND; thirteen grandchildren, Alyssa (Arturo) Sparza, Tyler Malm, Bryton (Molly) St. Germain, Ashley (Brad) Holtman, Amanda (Cameron) Love, Daulton Hendrickson, Brittany Feller, Courtney Malm, Taylor Hendrickson, Madyson St. Germain, Brady Feller, Jackson Feller and Brett Feller; twelve great-grandchildren and two on the way; siblings, Chuck (Ina) Feller, Paul (Pat) Feller, Ted (Pat) Feller, Bob (Peg) Feller, David (Joanna) Feller, Bill (partner, Diana Nelson) Feller, Mary Catherine (Otis) Torkelson, Rosanne Muth, Mike Feller, Patrice (Alec) Baillie and Jon (Lori) Feller; brother and sister-in law, John “Jack” and Judy Brusnighan and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy, great-granddaughter, Dylan Marie Feller; brothers-in-law, Chuck Muth and Gilbert Sneden and sisters-in-law, Joyce Brusnighan and Shirley Sneden.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 3:00 PM on Monday, November 27, 2023 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, MN.

VISITATION: One hour before services at the church.

INTERMENT: Jim will be buried next to his wife, Sandy, in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Argyle, MN.
