James “Jim” Johnson, 65, of Warren, MN, passed away Saturday morning, March 25, 2023 at North Star Manor in Warren, MN with his family by his side.
Jim was born on November 10, 1957 in Warren. He was a lifelong resident of Warren. Growing up living in Warren. He had many memories and enjoyed telling stories once you got him started.
He was the second oldest in the family and the only boy. He watched over his sisters and his mom. He was the “son and brother on call”.
After high school, he went to East Grand Forks Technical College for truck driving. He loved to drive. Jim was offered a job at the Marshall County Highway Department where he worked for over 30 years. He liked to snowplow. Jim was up early and out on the plow after a storm. Plowing was what he enjoyed.
In 1980, he married Diane Keck and they made their home in Warren. Shortly after, they had two boys; a little redhead named Brad and four years later, a little blond named Chris. Jim was proud of his family and loved them dearly along with his grandchildren.
Jim's passion was shooting pool and riding his Gold Wing. Jim and Diane traveled all over the US on their Gold Wing. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His health deteriorated over the past few years due to diabetes. He then went into the nursing home until he passed away. He is now at peace. Jim is riding his bike through heaven and drinking his Diet Mountain Dew with his pool stick in the back rack.
Until we meet again.
