Jenny Genevieve (Kliner) Haugtvedt

Jenny Haugtvedt, 66, of Warren, MN, died in her home on hospice, Saturday morning, September 30, 2023, with her husband at her side.

Genevieve Christine was born on November 24, 1956, in Crookston, the daughter of Herbert and Helen (Vanyo) Kliner. She was raised on the family farm east of Euclid, MN, had many pets, and enjoyed a great family life. Toward the end of her high school years, Jenny made a five-generation family tree, publishing a Vanyo Family history book of which she was very proud. She graduated from Crookston High School in 1975 and was married to Don Stinar in June of that year. They lived in Warren and raised two daughters, Wendy (1976) and Carrie (1978) before divorcing in 1992.

Jenny worked at the Dairy Queen, Digikey, Mary Mays, Dales Foods and Supermarket Foods. Jenny was a people person and everyone that knew her loved her. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard, cooking great meals and baking treats, sewing and quilting, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved her daughters and grandchildren, going to their school events and making each of them a quilt for graduation.

She began dating Stan Haugtvedt in 1998, and they were married on June 28, 2013, at Settler's Square in Warren. They shared two dogs and were happy together all the time. She battled cancer with all she had, not wanting to leave her husband alone, and she came into work as long as she was able to in order to see all the friendly faces and smile back at them. She leaves behind many friends

Jenny will be greatly missed by her husband, Stan; her daughters, Wendy (Kent) and her children, Dakota, Tristan, and Zachariah, Carrie (Jeremy) and her children, Dylan (Kaitlyn), Jordan, and Lexi; siblings, Geri (Gene) Ovsak, Jeanie (Francis) Lindgren, Judy (Steve) Wangeman, and Johnie (Bonnie) Kliner; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws; her coworkers and all whose groceries she handled over the years; and her beloved dog, Angel, whom she named.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Helen.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, October 6, 2023, at 10:30 AM, in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Warren, MN.
VISITATION: Thursday evening, October 5, from 5:00-7:00 PM, in DuBore Funeral Home Chapel, Warren, MN; and one hour prior to Mass.
INTERMENT: Next to her father in Prairie View Cemetery, Euclid, MN.
