Jeremy “Jamie” Rybaski, 48, of Warren and Argyle, MN, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2024, in North Valley Health Center of Warren, MN.
Jeremy Thomas Rybaski was born on August 9, 1976, in Minneapolis to Frank and Janene (Wang) Rybaski. At 10 months old the growing family moved back home to Argyle where Jamie was raised as the middle child, learning from his siblings and teaching them compassion in turn. Though non-verbal, he communicated all his thoughts well and loved visiting with people as much as they loved visiting with him. He enjoyed special education classes in public school before moving to the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown. There he learned independent living skills, how to spell, and even had a job at the mall, sweeping and getting into trouble at the same time. He moved to River Place group home in Warren in 1997, living there until his passing.
Jamie enjoyed all things that “go.” He enjoyed cars especially, both collecting toy cars and riding in them. Bluegrass was his favorite thing to listen to while riding- if he couldn't tap his foot to the beat or the song was slow, he was sure to let you know to skip it! He also liked trains and could hear one coming before almost anyone else. Each of his possessions was treasured and Christmas dragged on for hours with Jamie always opening just one more gift.
He was a gift himself. A beautiful son, brother, and friend whose love of life and wide smile shone on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Jamie is survived by his parents, Frank and Janene Rybaski of Argyle; older sister, Jessica (Dan) Thury; younger brother, Adam Rybaski (Lee); nieces and nephews, Henry, June, and Robin Thury, and Annika Rybaski; Lee's sons, Wesley and Wyatt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is also survived by his friends and staff at River Place, his “family,” too.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Victoria Rybaski, and Melvin and Martha Wang; and nephew, Ben Thury.
Memorials are preferred and may be made to Marshall County Group Homes.
