Jeremy Sundby Obituary

Jeremy Sundby, 54, of Argyle, MN, died of natural causes in his home, received into the arms of Jesus, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Jeremy James Sundby was born on March 21, 1971, to L. James and Maureen (Iverson) Sundby. Raised in Stephen, MN, Jeremy moved to Karlstad in 1979, where his parents taught at Heritage Christian School- from which Jeremy would graduate in 1989. He was an excellent athlete in all sports, and went off to play football at Northland College in Thief River Falls. He continued to Moorhead State where he earned a bachelors degree in Sports Medicine. At 21 he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, though this didn't slow him down too much. Physically very strong and willing to work, Jeremy farmed alongside his dad and Leif Aakre, and took over Jim's custom mowing business. He did this for as long as he could, enjoying the solitude of the tractor until 2023.

And if he lived a mostly quiet life, Jeremy surely enjoyed talking to others- especially if they'd listen! He always had a story at the ready and could converse with anyone: from the oldest senior to the youngest child. He had a special knack for imitations (mimicking celebrities as well as his family members), an excellent singing voice, and was even a fill-in auctioneer. From well-chosen words to speaking 200 of them a minute, Jeremy shared his life with others.

He accepted the Lord as his Savior when he was around seven, and though his road was long and curvy, with bumps and bruises along the way, he never lost sight of Him. A text from him usually ended with PTL LUJ- “Praise the Lord! Love you, Jeremy.”

He accepted life's sufferings and is gone from us too soon, but he sums it up best by his own constant refrain: “But the Lord is GOOD” -no matter what.

Jeremy is survived by his mother, Maureen; brother, Jonathon (Melanie) Sundby; their children, Josiah, Isaac, and Leah; his aunts and uncles, Janet LaBine, Judith (Dwight) Flaten, Maxine (Claire) Ripley, Caren Miller, and Faye Ann (Rev. Kevin) Ruffcorn; and many cousins.

There to welcome him Home are his father, Jim Sundby; uncles, Wallace LaBine, Duane “Lefty” Swanson, and Richard Miller; and his grandparents, Bill & Lillian Sundby, and Bing and Inga Iverson.
