Joffrey Kenneth Kuznia, 57, of Bemidji, MN, was born on January 24, 1966 in Drayton, ND, the son of Kenneth C. and Sandra (Thacker) Kuznia. Joffrey passed away on May 26, 2023 with his loving family at his side after a long, difficult battle with pancreatic cancer.
Joff was raised in Stephen, MN where he graduated from Stephen High School in 1984. He farmed in the Stephen area with his father and grandfather while attending the University of Minnesota Crookston before graduating from NDSU with a degree in Agricultural Economics. He married Melissa Martinson on December 28, 1996. Of this union three children were born, Allyson Marie, Brandon Kenneth, and Jacob Allen. Joff was employed by Minnesota Limited for 29 years. He started as a laborer, was promoted to foreman and later became superintendent. Joff retired in January of 2022 due to his cancer.
He was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his children. Joff would go to any lengths and travel any distance to watch his childrens' activities.
Joff was a diehard (mostly disappointed) Vikings fan. His second loves after his children were his Harley Davidson and Corvette.
Left to mourn his passing are his parents, K.C. and Sandy Kuznia of Stephen, MN; children, Allyson Kuznia (Arlo Baratono) of Eugene, OR, Brandon Kuznia of Omaha, NE, and Jacob Kuznia of Wayne, NE; sisters, Cynthia (Jeffery) Czapiewski of Grand Forks, ND and Jennifer VanHorn of Stephen, MN and aunts, uncle, nieces and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family would like to thank the Roger Maris Cancer Center and Dr. Potti and his staff at the Cancer Center of North Dakota for the excellent care Joff received while under their care.
