Julia Nicholls, 83, of Warren, MN, passed away on Monday morning, December 10, 2018, in Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN.
Julia Ann Nicholls was born at home in Sandsville Township, Polk County, MN, on June 16, 1935, one of fourteen children born to Michael and Mary (Stano) Sabol. She graduated from Warren High School and Crookston School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. On October 6, 1962 she was married to Fred Nicholls at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Warren. They were married for 56 years and made their home on a farm near Warren. She enjoyed her flower gardens, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and quilt making. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and giving a helping hand to her family members. She loved spending time with her grandchildren: listening to Dylan play the piano and tuning in to Parker and Maddie’s hockey games on the radio.
Julia worked at Warren Hospital, PKM Electric, and was a housekeeper for her church. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the parish Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; five children, Gwen (Terry) Nelson, David (Stacy) Nicholls, Randy (Denese) Nicholls, Jill (Guy) Florek, and Russell Nicholls; three grandchildren, Dylan, Parker and Maddie Nicholls; one sister; a sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Michael and Mary Sabol; nine brothers; and three sisters.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 10:30 AM, in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Warren, MN.
VISITATION AND ROSARY: Visitation starts at 9:30 AM up until the Mass with a Rosary at 9:30 AM.
INTERMENT: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Warren.
