Julie Pawloski, of Stephen, MN, died unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Julia Chwialkowski was born in Strandquist, MN, to Peter F. and Pauline (Benke) Chwialkowski. Julie didn't like to tell her age, but she was born on April 20, 1936: she'll let you do the math! She lived in the Florian area, received all of her sacraments in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, and graduated from Strandquist High School in 1955. On June 3, 1958, Julie was married to Richard V. Pawloski, whom she met at the dance hall in Florian. They made their home in Stephen, where they raised three children, and Julie worked as a Chiropractic Aide at Anderson Chiropractic for almost 20 years.
She was always one to have things “just so.” The home had to be spotless, the yard immaculate, and her own clothing and nails exactly right. All the yardwork she did herself, without so much as a grass clipping out of place - except once, only to find Richard on the mower in shorts and cowboy boots! From then on, she maintained it all herself, and attributed her longevity to it besides. She was a woman of faith and loved her church, St. Stephen's.
She leaves behind her children, Rod (Elizabeth) Pawloski of Phoenix, AZ, Janelle Sundby of Stephen, and JoNette (Scott) Corrow of Hutchinson, MN; nine grandchildren, Christopher (Ellie) Perez-Pawloski, Michael Pawloski, Kyle (Danika) Sundby, Korey (Eiley) Sundby, Joshua (Alissa) Sundby, Kaitlyn (Ben) Glogoza, Alexa (Joseph) Meyer, Noah (Megan) Corrow, and Cade Corrow; eleven great-grandchildren, Valentina, Gabriella, Sage, Zayn, Aiden, Clara, Kohen, Sawyer, Shae, Sutton, and Blair; siblings, Ann Billings of Lake Bronson, MN, Virginia Knoll of Warren, and David Chwialkowski; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Richard, who died on October 6, 2009, Julie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene, Ralph, and baby Edmond; sisters, Lucille Watson, and Marge Clark; in-laws, Larry & Staffie Pawloski; and great-grandson, Riley Sundby
A PRIVATE FUNERAL MASS will be held in the church of her sacraments, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church of Florian, MN, in the coming days.
INTERMENT: St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery, Stephen, MN.
