Kathy Marie Boman

Kathy Boman, 38, of Warren, MN, died early Tuesday morning, December 8, 2020, in North Valley Health Center, after going into cardiac arrest.

Kathy Marie was born on May 6, 1982, in Warren, to Donald “Pudda” and Susan L. (Stano) Boman. She lived in Warren all her life, graduating from WAO high school. She worked at Nordic Fiberglass in town and was currently employed by Opp Construction where she was a saw operator these last eight years.

Kathy was the life of any party and she was always joking and laughing. If she gave you a hard time it meant she liked you, and her smile would light up a room! She was a longtime volunteer with Warren's and Stephen's Senior Meals programs, and she helped when she could at Freedom Church in Grand Forks. Her favorite places to pass the time were at the lake, soaking up the sun; trying her luck at the casino; being at home with her beloved dog, Charlie; or driving the back country roads, singing at the top of her lungs.

She had many struggles in her life and made some tough choices, but her family and children were always there for her: they loved her and she loved them. Kathy particularly loved it when her brother, Willie, would throw away “treasures” that she could save and take home (like the blow-up penguin she insisted she needed).

She is survived by her children, Kia (Thomas) True of Fort Hood, TX, Daniel Maurstad Jr., and Aanika Mock-Boman both of Warren; mother, Susan L. Boman of Warren; siblings, Chris Boman of Oceanside, CA, Tina Boman of Bend, OR, Robert Boman of Escondido, CA, and Richelle, Crystal, and William (Jessica) Boman all of Warren; and nieces and nephews, Aliya and Logan, Zoey, and Tyler; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and significant other, Ryan Gallagher.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Donald “Pudda”; grandparents, Bill and Alice Stano, John and Darlene (Mykleby-Bedard) Boman, and Dean Dagen; uncles, John and Thomas Boman; and aunts, Patricia Boman and Nancy Wurtz.
 

PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICES: Will be held during December, 2020, in DuBore Funeral Home Chapel, Warren, MN; Pastor Jim Robberstad, presiding.
