Lorraine Adamski, 90, of Stephen, MN, died on Thursday, April 30, 2020, in North Star Manor, Warren, MN.
Lorraine Loretta Kasprowicz was born on October 16, 1929, on the family farm near Florian, MN, to Stefan and Stefa (Tulibaski) Kasprowicz. As the oldest of seven children, Lorraine learned to work at a young age. She attended country school until 4th Grade; having to leave to help on the farm and with the younger children. She would stay with her family, working, milking cows, and keeping house until she was married. On October 21, 1952, Lorraine was united in Holy Matrimony to Harry Adamski in Assumption Catholic Church, Florian. They would make their home down the road on the Ernie Anderson farm. In the early 1960s Lorraine and Harry moved into Stephen.
They lived in the same house, where they raised their two adopted children, until 2003, when they moved “all the way” across town. She was active in St. Stephen Catholic Church for many years and always had a soft spot for the church of her youth. Lorraine loved to sew and cook. She would often make gigantic meals and deliver them, still hot, whether you asked for one or not! She enjoyed all her grandchildren and especially loved visiting with her family.
Lorraine will be remembered for her kind heart and her love of Faith and Family.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Ed) Martel of Warroad, MN, and Dale (Cynthia Blacklance) Adamski of Warren; sister, Evelyn Erickson; nine grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Burke, Garrett (Rhea) Glass, Brianne LaDuke, Elijah LaDuke, Nathanial, Bradley, Devin, Crystal, Cassandra, and Chelsey Adamski; seven great-grandchildren, Braden, Jace, Scarlett, Justin, Anthony, Adam, and Raya; brother-in-law, Laures Kleinwachter; sister-in-law, Angeline Adamski; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Harry, who died on September 26, 2008; Lorraine was preceded in death by her siblings, Walter, Frank, and John Kasprowicz, Leona Konickson, and Theresa Kleinwachter.
