Lowell Burton Goplin, 82, passed away on April 5, 2025.
Born June 19, 1942, in Warren, MN, to Sandy and Harriet (Bren) Goplin, Lowell was the middle child, with two older brothers and two younger sisters. He graduated from Warren High School in 1960 and joined the U.S. Navy , retiring in 1984. During his years of service, Lowell served on eight ships and several long term shore assignments.
Following his retirement, Lowell moved back to Warren, He served two terms as the American Legion Post 27 Commander and was a friend to many people. Lowell moved to Moorhead, MN, but maintained his contact with Warren. In 2019, he helped establish (and was a major contributor to) a WAO scholarship that bears his name. He has been very generous in giving to many other worthy causes over the years.
Lowell is survived by his sister, Lana (Alan) Schoenack of Moorhead. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lee and Russell; and sister, June. Lowell's wish for everyone was..

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, April 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in The Warren (MN) American Legion Hall.
VISITATION: One hour prior.
MILITARY HONORS: The US Navy Honor Guard & the Warren American Legion Post 27
INTERMENT: Summer 2025 in Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN.
