Margaret Kasprowicz, 78, of Warren, MN, died on Friday morning, October 28, 2022, in North Star Manor.
Margaret Martha was born on October 10, 1944, in Warren, to Steve and Helen (Tulibaski) Kostrzewski. She was raised on the family farm near Florian along with her eleven siblings. She attended country school and graduated from Stephen High School. On September 7, 1963, Margaret was united in Holy Matrimony to Victor Edmund Kasprowicz and the two made their home in rural Stephen, MN, where they raised grains and beef cattle. Margaret was always busy on the farm she loved, whether busy in her garden or working on some other project.
After her youngest son started school, Margaret went to work at the nursing home in Karlstad as a cook. She would later cook at the nursing home in Warren and at WAO school. After Victor died on September 14, 2003, Margaret moved into Warren where she lived until recently moving into North Star Manor to receive more care.
In her free time, Margaret enjoyed playing cards; crocheting; and long conversations with her sisters, sisters-in-law, and many friends. She also had a growing collection of Dreamsicle figures that brought her joy. Grandma Margaret particularly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, being sure to always have a special treat ready for each one.
She will be greatly missed.
Margaret is survived by her four children, Cindy (David) Stauffenecker of Greenbush, MN, Donna (Trent) Bazey of Roseau, MN, Darryle (Jodi) Kasprowicz, and Chad Kasprowicz both of Stephen; ten grandchildren, Vanessa (Jason) Wollin, Christopher Larson, Tori (Brandon) Newhouse, Zachary Berg, Cole (Hannah) Berg, Hannah and Dawson Kasprowicz, and Lennon, Liam, and Luke Kasprowicz; seven great-grandchildren, Ava, Brier, Ryden, Anakin, Gavin, Mason, and Nora; brothers, Adolph, Albert (Diane), and Clarence (Ione) Kostrzewski; sisters, Alice Peters, Evelyn Mager, and Christine (Denny) Kramer.
In addition to her husband, Victor, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roman, Alex, and Harry Kostrzeski; sisters, Dorothy Szklarski and Lucy Klegstad; and a number of brothers-and-sisters-in-law.
