Michael D. Russell

Michael Russell, 73, of Lakota, ND, formerly of Stephen, MN, died on Saturday, June 14, 2025,  in the Good Samaritan Society home, Lakota, ND, with his nurses and friends at his side.

Mike Russell was born on October 26, 1951, to Donald and Mary (Wilhelmi) Russell. He grew up in Stephen and graduated from the local high school.

Always "just Mike," he did things his own way and lived for many years with his brother.

When taking care of himself became too much, he moved to the nursing home in Lakota where the staff loved and cared for him.

He is survived by his siblings, Patty Kannel, Dan Russell, SanDee Russell-Reed, and Kelly Russell; and special caretaker, Hayley.
Gone before him are his parents, Don and Mary; and brother, Jeffrey.

AN INTERMENT will be held privately on his brother's grave in St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery of Stephen, MN.
